High-level compaction

The new CAT asphalt rollers can be configured either with the double amplitude and double frequency vibratory system on both or with front vibration and rear oscillation. Parameters are easily adjusted using simple push buttons. In addition, the drums can be offset by up to 17 cm for optimum flush-to-face passages.

Compaction aids

The automatic vibration on/off function switches the vibration system on or off depending on the position of the joystick, preventing excessive compaction when changing direction or when the machine is stationary. The speed selector has 3 settings: two for work (0-7 km/h and 0-11 km/h) and one for travel (0-11 km/h), which prevents drum vibration, spraying and modifies braking behaviour. The rotary knob, on the other hand, allows the speed to be limited to the optimum value (green zone) for the type of compaction, indicated by an LED dial, so that the correct distance between impacts is achieved.
