High-level compaction

The new CAT asphalt rollers can be configured with either internal or split drums (CB7 and CB10 models only), with the double-width, double-frequency vibratory system for both, or with front vibration and rear oscillation. The adjustment of the parameters is easily done with simple impulses. In addition, the drums can be disassembled up to 17 cm for optimum smoothing of the corded passages.

Compaction aids

The automatic vibration on/off function switches the vibration system on or off depending on the position of the joystick, preventing excessive compaction when changing direction or when the machine is stationary. The speed selector has 3 settings: two for work (0-7 km/h and 0-11 km/h) and one for travel (0-11 km/h), which prevents drum vibration, spraying and modifies braking behaviour. The rotary knob, on the other hand, allows the speed to be limited to the optimum value (green zone) for the type of compaction, indicated by an LED dial, so that the correct distance between impacts is achieved.
