Separation and unpacking of food waste
The food waste bioseparator separates outer packaging from inner waste, allowing waste that would otherwise be sent directly to landfill to be reused and recycled.
Food waste is a rapidly growing problem for many companies, municipalities and manufacturers. Much of the waste generated cannot be accepted directly into the production process, but requires some degree of separation or removal of outer packaging before it can be processed.
The process of separating and unpacking food waste is crucial for getting suitable material into anaerobic digestion plants and is also used to reintroduce food into animal feed. Separated packaging can be sent for recycling, further saving waste and potentially adding further revenue lines.
