What to expect from our Value-Added Service Contracts.

By covering your machine with a Value-Added Service Agreement (CVA) you have the assurance that your machine will always be at peak efficiency and protected from possible contingencies.

A Value-Added Service Contract means you have fewer worries and can devote yourself to your business, ensuring:

TRANQUILITY

Genuine Cat parts are delivered to your location or made available at your CGT branch, at the right time to service your machine.

With service provided by CGT's qualified professionals, machine downtime will be minimized. The service life of machine assemblies is increased by up to 50 percent when genuine CAT parts are used.

SAFETY

Reduced risk of contingencies. 24/7 machine monitoring by a team of dedicated experts. Through the Cat VisionLink® platform, relevant machine data including uptime, fuel consumption and location can be accessed at any time.

Training sessions in the use of Cat Visionlink® are provided upon delivery of the machine and, upon request, during the life of the contract.

PROTECTION

Planned Maintenance and Preventive Replacements enable you to extend the life of your machine by keeping it in top condition and reduce its cost of ownership and operation. Performing regular maintenance and replacements allows you to avoid breakdowns, malfunctions and downtime.

CGT Digital Services

Digital Services are the common feature of all Value-Added Service Contracts: they are a set of advanced technologies and state-of-the-art services to achieve maximum efficiency at the worksite by taking advantage of active connection via Cat® Product Link™. Digital services include:

Failure Prevention Service: systematic analysis of event codes and alarms transmitted by the machine to prevent wear or abnormal operation of machine components. When necessary, CGT may use, with customer authorization, a remote diagnostic link (Remote Troubleshooting) to reduce troubleshooting time.

Remote Update of On-Machine Software to Optimize Machine Functionality and Performance: this is a CGT and CAT service, provided once all necessary safety procedures have been implemented, to remotely update the software that governs machine operation when necessary.

Monitoring of Scheduled Maintenance deadlines by CGT: by monitoring the progression of machine operating hours, maintenance deadlines are tracked (except for uses with highly discontinuous rhythms) to schedule with the customer to avoid unwanted production downtime.

Access to the Cat VisionLink® platform for viewing multiple information including hour meter, hourly diesel fuel consumption, diesel fuel level in tank, machine location, operating conditions, APL reports. Access to the information of interest is always possible, wherever you are.

The services related to our CVAs

Extended warranty

Any repairs or overhauls of components or assemblies made necessary to restore the machine to perfect working order as a result of failure, breakage or malfunction are guaranteed by the manufacturer Caterpillar or CGT and carried out by qualified CGT technical personnel.

Fuel Promise

Guarantee that average fuel consumption is always under control. If actual consumption turns out to be higher than expected, the difference will be reimbursed with credits that can be used for all CGT services.

Scheduled maintenance

Performance every 500 working hours by CGT of maintenance, repair, control (including safety-related), inspection, and registration operations provided for in the different types of intervention of the programs with which it is associated, with activities detailed in specific checklists then issued at the end of the intervention. Possible collection and transportation of special waste produced by CGT during these operations in case the supply of lubricants is included.

Scheduled Preventive Replacements

Planned Preventive Replacements propose fixed price interventions including:
  • Labor labor for detachment and reattachment of the unit, overhaul of the unit, final adjustments and testing.
  • Original spare parts for overhaul and reattachment parts.
The price is fixed and set for a fully functioning group before breakage. The goal is to be able to have machines that are always efficient and maximize their productivity, avoiding breakdowns, malfunctions and downtime.

Preventive Analysis of Lubricants - APL

It allows the wear status of machine components to be kept under constant control. Coupled with the Remote Fault Prevention Service, it takes prevention on components to the highest level. Oil sampling of major components is carried out by CGT technicians during Scheduled Maintenance interventions.

One CVA for each machine

All CVAs can be subscribed to when a new machine is purchased; in addition, the Scheduled Maintenance (MP), Maintenance Kit (KM), and Access to Digital Services (ASD) contracts can also be subscribed to during the life of the machine. The table below shows the CVAs that can be activated based on product families; the availability of CVAs within each family may vary by machine model.
