Something about your role

They seem to be two roles, but in reality it is just one. What changes are the tasks.
 
As Product Specialist Engineer you will have to help colleagues during the commercial negotiations by providing support in explaining the functional features or application criteria of the machine.
 
As Service Specialist Engineer you will have to support the technicians in the troubleshooting of complex technical issues on Caterpillar machines or motors.
 
In both roles you will have the opportunity to interact directly with the customer, managing relations between Caterpillar, customers and suppliers for any product improvements.
 
Along with these activities, you will also manage part of the classroom training: you will take care of technical courses for the sales representatives or the service technicians.
 
A task that you will perform independently, but for which you will often coordinate with the Caterpillar representatives.


Our expectations

To do your best in this role you should intertwine your technical and interpersonal skills. And you must be in possession of:
  • a degree in Engineering (mechanical, energy, civil or electrical);
  • a previous experience in a similar role, or in a company like ours (preferable);
  • a specific knowledge in technical subjects applied to Caterpillar products.
 
What we consider a “plus”
  • good knowledge of English;
  • good teaching skills;
  • strong emotional intelligence;
  • ability to work independently or in team with other colleagues;
  • for you, problems at work are challenges and not obstacles.
 
This role is likely to require you to travel from time to time. 
Therefore, knowing that you are available to travel or to relocate for a few years is one of those "pluses" that will make you a difference.
